India-Canada Row: After the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, there has been a rift in the relations between India and Canada.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau had accused India of involvement in the murder, which Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi refuted, calling it ‘absurd and politically motivated’.

Now America has also jumped into this matter.

‘India can speak for itself.

US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said India can speak for itself about the Canadian allegations and the ongoing investigation related to the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

He said the US has urged India to cooperate with the Canadian investigation.

When Matthew Miller was asked what the Indian government might have said about the US’s call to cooperate with the Canadian investigation, he declined to comment.

Miller said he could speak for himself. I will not talk about private diplomatic conversations.

When the US State Department spokesperson was asked whether the Canada issue would be discussed between Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, he said that I could not tell publicly what would be discussed between the two.

Antony Blinken had expressed concern.

Earlier, Antony Blinken had said that the US is extremely concerned about the allegations made by the Canadian PM about the involvement of the Indian government in the killing of Najjar.

He said America wants to see accountability. We want India to cooperate with Canada in this investigation.

Trudeau spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Trudeau also said that he had spoken directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about this during the G20 summit.

India’s top intelligence and security officials were also informed about Canada’s concerns. Trudeau then urged the Indian government to cooperate with Canada “to get to the bottom of this matter.”

However, India has denied all Canadian charges, calling Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s statements “absurd” and “motivated.”

At the same time, PM Trudeau has not yet presented any public evidence to support the claim of the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
