India Exposes Pakistan at UN Over Terrorism and IMF Loans
India Exposes Pakistan at UN: India strongly criticized Pakistan at the UN, accusing it of promoting terrorism and depending on IMF loans. Operation Sindoor was also highlighted.
India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, strongly criticized Pakistan during a UN Security Council debate focused on “resolving disputes through multilateralism and peaceful means.” He accused Pakistan of being deeply entrenched in extremism and terrorism.
Highlighting the stark contrast between the two nations, Harish said, “India stands as a stable democracy, a growing economy, and an inclusive society. In contrast, Pakistan continues to foster terrorism and remains dependent on recurring loans from the IMF.”
He emphasized that any discussion about global peace and security is meaningless without adopting a zero-tolerance approach to terrorism. Taking a direct swipe, Harish remarked, “It is ironic and shameful that a member state of the Security Council gives moral lectures to others while engaging in practices that are unacceptable to the global community.”
India Exposes Pakistan at UN: Reference to Pahalgam Attack
During his address, Harish also referred to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 tourists were killed. He warned that countries promoting cross-border terrorism and violating the principles of peaceful coexistence would face serious consequences.
He also spoke about India’s response — Operation Sindoor, which targeted terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Harish clarified that the operation was restrained, targeted, and non-provocative, and was halted once its key objectives were met, following Pakistan’s appeal.
Reiterating India’s position, he stated that while the nation remains committed to peaceful and multilateral solutions for international stability, it will not hesitate to act firmly against terrorism.
A Pattern of Hostility
This is not the first time Ambassador Harish has spoken out against Pakistan at the UN. In May, during another Security Council session on protecting civilians and humanitarian personnel, he pointed out that India has been a victim of repeated terrorist attacks from Pakistan, from the 26/11 Mumbai attacks to the recent Pahalgam massacre in April 2025.
He asserted, “These assaults are calculated efforts to hinder India’s progress and demoralize its people.” He further questioned Pakistan’s credibility in international discussions, stating, “A nation that orchestrates attacks on civilians has no moral standing to participate in conversations about civilian safety.”

India has consistently conveyed that while it advocates peace and cooperation, its stance on terrorism remains unwavering.
