India-Syria Relations: 7 decade-old India-Syria diplomatic relations, a road in Damascus named after Nehru; with India on Kashmir issue. Diplomatic relations between India and Syria were established in 1950. As a result, a road in Damascus is named after the then-Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and it reminds of the friendship between the two countries.
