LeT terrorists attack a team of security forces in Sopore, 5 including 2 soldiers killed: Sopore Attack.

Militants ambushed a team of security forces stationed at the main square in Baramulla Sopore district of North Kashmir on Saturday.

In this firing, two security forces personnel were martyred while 3 civilians were also killed. Apart from this, 2 others have also been injured.

On the other hand, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, while confirming the martyrdom of two soldiers and the death of three local civilians, said that two soldiers are still injured.

He also told that the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba is behind this attack.

According to information received from police sources, the terrorists suddenly opened fire on a team of security forces stationed at Sopore Arampora main square.

Earlier the security personnel would hold their positions and respond to the firing of terrorists. Five policemen were seriously injured in the hurling. Meanwhile, three civilians also came under the fire of the terrorists.

Responding to the firing of terrorists, other security forces present there immediately picked up the injured and rushed them to the nearest sub-district hospital, Sopore for treatment.

LeT terrorists attack: Sources said that two security forces and three civilians succumbed to their injuries as soon as they reached the hospital.

While other injured have been admitted to Srinagar hospital after providing first aid. The condition of two policemen is said to be critical.

The policemen martyred in the Sopore attack have been identified as constable Waseem Ahmed son of Mohammad Sadiq Butt resident of Narbal Srinagar and constable Shaukat Ahmed son of Abdul Gani resident of Goripora Beerwah Budgam.

At the same time, the injured policemen include Sub Inspector Mukesh Kamar and SPO Danish Ahmed.

The civilians killed in the terror attack have been identified as Bashir Ahmed Khan and Shaukat Ahmed Shala, Naeem Ahmed Khan.

Sopore Attack: Lt Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the Sopore terror attack.

The Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Sopore.

He termed the ambushes carried out by terrorists on a team of security forces as enemies of humanity.

He has expressed shock over the death of two soldiers and three civilians who were martyred in this nefarious action of terrorists.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that targeting of common people and security forces by terrorists is a cowardly act. The more strongly it is condemned, the less it is.

He said that the security forces in Kashmir are deployed for the security of Kashmiris and in such a situation some anti-national forces are bent on disturbing the peace spread in Kashmir, which will never be tolerated. .

LeT terrorists attack: Mehbooba Mufti also strongly condemned the Sopore terror attack.

Meanwhile, former Chief Minister of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti also strongly condemned the Sopore terror attack. She said that all are with the bereaved family in this hour of grief.

It is noteworthy that terrorists ambushed the security forces in Sopore of Baramulla district of North Kashmir on Saturday. Two soldiers were martyred while three civilians were also killed.

Kashmir IGP K Vijay Kumar said that three local civilians have died in the shelling while two have also been injured. Terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba is suspected to be behind this attack.
