Infosys Help in construction of COVID-19 Hospital in Karnataka. With the help of Infosys, all the facilities will be provided to patients including COVID-19 hospital, 20 ventilators, and 20 ICU beds in the state. In collaboration with Infosys, the COVID-19 Hospital has been constructed at Shivajinagar with all facilities.
According to State Medical Education Minister Dr. K. K. Sudhakar, a fully equipped COVID-19 hospital is ready after four months of hard work. He met the Chief Minister of Karnataka BSY at the opening of Broadway Road Charak Hospital by Vaideyurappa said, “Four months ago we had the idea of setting up a COVID Hospital in a BBMP building, but its construction was abandoned.
” He further said that when we requested Sudha Murthy of Infosys Foundation for help, she agreed for it and assisted the medical infrastructure equipment worth Rs 11 crore. “The minister further said that while there, Wipro came forward with medical Staff provided, and because of this the government has not incurred much of the financial burden of the hospital.
He has thanked both the organizations. He said that I am thankful to both the organizations and especially thank Sudha Murthy for her generous contribution”. The hospital has 130 normal beds, 20 ICU beds, and 20 ventilators. Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Ashwath Narayan, Minister Somanna, and others were present during the inauguration. Talking on the current corona situation, Dr. Sudhakar tweeted, “A lot of people have been discharged from the hospital and with this, the recovery rate in the state has come down to 70 percent.
Whereas, less than one percent of patients in ICU Are being treated. Also, the death rate in the state is 1.69 percent. The corona situation in Karnataka is steadily improving. I commend the doctors and all the corona warriors for their tireless hard work. “The Minister congratulated the doctors and staff of HSIS Ghosh Hospital Shivajinagar for successfully carrying out 50 deliveries of Corona positive pregnant women within just 17 days.
The hospital was converted into a COVID hospital on the 10th of this month. The minister also said that all states are strictly following the guidelines given by the center. He further said that after consulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take further action by the end of this month. There is no need to panic with the increase in positive cases. The death rate has come down and the recovery rate is 70 percent.
