Umar Nisar is one of the six people who were detained by the NIA in raids in Srinagar and Anantnag on Sunday itself.

Now out of these, Umar Nisar, Tanveer Ahmed Butt, and Rameez Ahmed Lone were arrested on Monday. All three of them are residents of Achabal, Anantnag.

At the same time, NIA raided two places in Anantnag for the second consecutive day on Monday against the IS KK module.

An NIA spokesperson said that the cadre of IS operating in the country and abroad is running an online propaganda campaign against India under fake names.

Anti-national and jihadi elements sitting in many parts of the country including Jammu and Kashmir are associated with Voice of Hind magazine.

Sources said that during the last two days, the NIA has allegedly taken nine people, including a woman, into custody for questioning.

However, the NIA spokesperson has so far confirmed the arrest of only three people in the case.

The investigation was going on for three months: Sources said that the investigation of the case of online propaganda being done by IS.

Recruiting Indian Muslim youth by creating a jihadi mentality and preparing them for jihad against India is going on for about three months.

Central intelligence agencies are also involved in this and action has been initiated only after submitting necessary evidence through electronic surveillance and other means.

A case in this regard was registered on June 29.

The magazine was started by Hufaiza of Srinagar from Afghanistan: This magazine was allegedly started in Afghanistan by an IS terrorist commander named Huzaifa al-Pakistani.

Huzaifa is related to Srinagar only. His father Ejaz Ahmad Ahangar was caught some time ago by the Afghan army in an action near Kandahar. Huzaifa was killed in July 2019.

After being closed for some time, this magazine started again. Intelligence agencies also started to trace the source of the magazine, then it came to know that its connection is also in Kashmir.

The couple was also caught from Delhi: In March 2020, NIA arrested Jahanzeb Sami and his wife Hina Bashir Baig from Delhi. He also took command of online propaganda for some time.

The couple is a resident of the Indira Nagar area of ​​Srinagar and was trying to incite riots by staying in Delhi at the time of Delhi riots. Both of them were allegedly linked to IS.

They were related to the people of IS sitting in Malaysia. The online edition of IS’s magazine was closed for some time after their arrest.

Searches at two places in Anantnag, two real brothers in custody: The spokesperson said that on Monday also two searches have been conducted in Anantnag.

Though they have not confirmed that anyone has been taken into custody.

Sources said that the NIA along with J&K Police and CRPF personnel searched the house of Ghulam Nabi Sofi in Sofi Mohalla of Achchabal.

From here, Sofi’s two sons Aaqib Ahmed Sofi alias Nadeem and Mohammad Arif have been taken into custody.

Apart from this, a Geo Graphic Printing Press located opposite the Medical College Hospital in Anantnag was also raided. Arif Hussain Qadri has been arrested from there.

He is a resident of Chini Chowk Anantnag. Laptops, advertisements, and other documents have been seized from the printing press.

All three have been arrested on the basis of clues obtained from the interrogation of members of the IS module arrested on Sunday.
