Landlines blast again in Lohardaga, CRPF jawan injured, three jawans injured in last 24 hours.
Landmines exploded once again in the remote forest of Lohardaga district on Saturday. The jawan of CRPF Cobra Battalion 209 has been seriously injured due to its grip.
The injured jawan has been sent to Medica in Ranchi for immediate treatment by an Indian Air Force helicopter. The incident is said to have happened at around 3:00 pm on Saturday.
The third jawan was injured within 24 hours.
This is the third CRPF jawan injured in a landmine blast within the last 24 hours.
On Friday also, two CRPF personnel were seriously injured when they were hit by landmines, their treatment is going on in Ranchi hospital.
In Lohardaga district, the security forces, who were engaged in the operation against the Naxalites, are constantly facing death lying in the forest.
During the last 72 hours, the district police force and CRPF team are continuously campaigning to surround the regional commander of the CPI-Maoist Naxalite organization and the squad of 15 lakh rewarder Ravindra Ganjhu.
The accident happened during the search operation.
400 jawans have landed in the forest against the Naxalites. During this, the security forces also demolished a bunker of CPI-Maoist.
From which explosives and many items of Naxalites have also been recovered. Security force personnel were conducting search operations around this bunker on Saturday as well.
Then suddenly a jawan’s foot fell on the landmines. After which the jawan was seriously injured due to the blast.
The matter was immediately informed by the security forces to the senior officials. After which the injured jawan has been taken to Ranchi for treatment.
