Preliminary Preparations For Amarnath Yatra Arrangements Started

Preliminary preparations for Baba Amarnath Yatra arrangements started, the place of langar was marked in Nashri and Banihal.

Ramban Deputy Commissioner Masarat Islam deliberated on the preliminary preparations for the upcoming Baba Amarnath Yatra.

He held a meeting with the officers of various departments and visited Chandra Court to take stock of the progress of the works of Yatri Niwas being constructed by the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the National Highways Authority to expedite the completion of work on the Chandrakot bypass so that this area can be kept for the parking of vehicles of passengers.

In the meeting, he discussed the place of langar between Nashri and Banihal and the identification of places for the pilgrims to stay.

He said that in view of this year’s Amarnath Yatra, special attention should be given to electricity, water, and connectivity.

Adequate medical arrangements should be made and special attention should be given to the guidelines issued for the prevention of corona.

The deputy commissioner asked the city council Banihal and Bataut to arrange for mobile toilets.

Asked the District Panchayat Officers to ensure that five Community Sanitary Complexes are set up at Pain, Digdol, other places.

Adequate arrangements should also be made for langar and parking places. The officials were asked to prepare the infrastructural facilities from now on.

The Road Transport Department, Ramban was asked to prepare a plan for parking for the vehicles of the passengers.

The Deputy Commissioner also asked for planning to maintain smooth traffic arrangements during the journey. Visiting Yatri Niwas in Chandrakot and instructed to complete it in stipulated time.
