Lashkar Terrorists Kill Ex-Soldier: Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists attacked a retired Territorial Army soldier’s home in Kulgam, Jammu & Kashmir, killing him and injuring his wife and niece. Security forces are investigating the attack.
Lashkar terrorists fired bullets at an ex-soldier house, a retired soldier was killed, and his wife and niece were injured. Terrorists shot dead a former soldier and injured his wife and 13-year-old niece in Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Monday. Officials gave this information here. According to the information so far, two terrorists armed with pistols reached the house of Manzoor Ahmed Wage in Bihibagh, about 10 km from the district headquarters, and opened fire on his family members.
According to initial statements recorded by police and army officials, Wage, a former member of the Territorial Army, was hit by several bullets while trying to save his niece. Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists opened fire on Wage while he was returning home, after which all three injured were taken to a nearby hospital, where Wage died.

Wage retired from the Territorial Army in 2021. Family members said he was involved in cattle rearing after retirement. The attack comes more than a month after security forces killed five militants, including self-styled Hizbul Mujahideen commander Farooq Ahmad Bhat, in Qaddar in Behibagh, which virtually wiped out Hizbul Mujahideen in south Kashmir.

Officials said Monday’s attack could be a retaliation for the killing of top Hizbul Mujahideen militants in December last year. Apni Party president and former minister Altaf Bukhari condemned the attack
“It is very sad to hear that terrorists attacked and killed a former army man in the Behibagh area of Kulgam and his wife and relatives were injured. The attackers fired at them from a very close range,” Bukhari said. “This despicable attack is abhorrent, and I vehemently denounce this horrible deed. I am confident that our security agencies will bring the culprits to justice soon,” he said.
Kulgam MLA and Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader M.Y. Tarigami said, “I strongly condemn the killing of former Territorial Army jawan Manzoor Ahmed Wage in Behibagh. I urge the authorities to ensure the best possible treatment of the injured.”
