Mumbai received the highest rainfall of this season on Wednesday.

Flood-like conditions have arisen due to heavy rains in Kolhapur due to which 34 roads including 9 highways have been closed for traffic. The Rajaram dam is also flowing above the danger level. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of the high tide along with high rainfall.
Wall collapsed by heavy rain
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner IS Chahal visited Pedder Road where a section of a wall has collapsed. In fact, 300 mm of rain was recorded till 4 pm in Colaba, Nariman Point, and Marine Drive on Wednesday, due to which there has been a problem of water logging which has been ordered to be cleaned soon.
Appeal to people not to leave their homes
Thane has been raining heavily for the last three days, with 149 mm of rain on 5 August. Municipal Commissioner Vipin Sharma has appealed to the people not to leave the houses. All municipal personnel has been deployed to manage the situation.
16 teams of NDRF deployed in Maharashtra

Has deployed 5 teams in Mumbai, 4 teams in Kolhapur, 2 teams in Sangli, and one team each in Satara, Thane, Palghar, Nagpur, Raigad.
Conditions like flood due to heavy rain

NDRF had to seek help to evacuate passengers due to two trains getting stuck late on Wednesday night. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall with heavy winds (40-50 kmph) is expected at different places in Mumbai during the next 3 hours.
Let us know that due to continuous heavy rains, two trains were stuck on the track between the Masjid and Byakhala railway stations late on Wednesday, causing the lives of the passengers on the trains. In such a situation, the NDRF team took these passengers out safely, so far more than 290 people have been evacuated.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also talked to the Chief Minister of the state Uddhav Thackeray on the phone and took stock of the situation, along with PM Modi has assured help.
