Nadal reaches third round with 300th Grand Slam win: French Open 2022.

Spain’s Rafael Nadal continued his fine performance by registering his 300th Grand Slam career win to reach the third round of the second Grand Slam French Open tennis tournament of the year.

Nadal defeated Corentin Moutet of France 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in the second round to reach the third round. It is known that Nadal has landed here in search of his 14th title.

Nadal reaches third round: Before the French Open, he had been troubled by injury. Nadal will next face 26th seed Bottic van de Jandschulp of the Netherlands.

Earlier, Nadal had broken Moutet’s serve four times in the first two sets in the second round, but he himself made some mistakes at the start to give his opponent a 2-0 lead.

However, Nadal made a quick comeback, breaking Moutet’s serve again and winning match points. Nadal did not face any significant challenge from Moutet in the first two sets.

In the third set, Moutet showed some strength but Nadal did not let him stand in front of him for long.

Meanwhile, second seed Daniil Medvedev of Russia defeated Lacio Dere of Serbia 6-3, 6-4, 6-3 to make it to the third round.

Badosa also won: Paula Badosa of Spain, ranked third among women, defeated Caja Juvan 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 to enter the third round.

At the same time, Jessica Pegula of America defeated Anhelina Kalinina 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 to make it to the next round.

Bopanna and Middlekup pair in pre-quarterfinals.

India’s Rohan Bopanna and Netherlands’ M Middelkoop defeated Andre Golubev and Fabrice Martin in straight sets to reach the pre-quarterfinals of the men’s doubles at the French Open.

16th seed Bopanna and Middlekup won the second round 6-3, 6-4 in one hour and six minutes. Bopanna reached the finals at Roland Garros in 2011, 2016, 2018, and 2021.

Krajsikova got infected with Corona.

Barbora Krejcikova, who was the French Open champion in singles and doubles last year, withdrew from the tournament after saying that she is corona infected.

Krejcikova of the Czech Republic had lost in the first round of the singles category. His focus was on retaining the doubles title. Krejcikova said, ‘I was not feeling well last night.

I had a fever in the morning so I got the corona test done which came positive.

It’s sad that I won’t be able to retain my doubles title. But the good thing is that I am not injured and then I will return to practice.
