Himachal Weather Update: Rain and light snowfall have started in Shimla as a Western Disturbance activates. Snowfall is expected at high altitudes in Kinnaur, Chamba, and more. Himachal Weather Update: Cold wave continues in 6 districts

According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, the cold wave will continue in six districts. The cold will be more intense due to dense fog in many parts of the Mandi, Bilaspur, and Una districts. On Wednesday, a drop in temperature was recorded due to cloud cover in most parts of the state.

Rain and snowfall will provide relief from dense fog in the lower areas. The minimum temperature was minus 0.8 in Kalpa, minus 9.1 in Keylong, minus 0.6 in Manali, minus 12.1 in Kukumseri, minus 9.0 in Samdo, and minus 13.2 degrees Celsius in Tabo.

The temperature was recorded at 0.2 in Bajaura, zero in Seubagh, and 0.3 degree Celsius in Bhuntar. Due to fog in Punjab, the Himachal Express train was delayed by 33 minutes and Vande Bharat Express was delayed by 58 minutes on Wednesday.

Apart from this, six trains going from Kalka to Shimla left on time on Wednesday. All flights from Jubbarhatti of Shimla, Bhuntar of Kullu, and Gaggal of Kangra took place on time.

Himachal Weather Update: Himachal Express departed from Delhi on time

Let us tell you that Himachal Express departed from Delhi on Tuesday at 10:50 am and reached Una at 7:33 am on Wednesday, Amb-Andaura with a delay of 47 minutes, and Daulatpur with a delay of 33 minutes.

Vande Bharat Express reached Una at 11:33 am with a delay of 59 minutes and Amb-Andaura at 12:03 pm. Apart from this, six trains going from Kalka to Shimla left on time on Wednesday. All flights from Jubbarhatti in Shimla, Bhuntar in Kullu, and Gaggal in Kangra took off on time.

Possibility of snowfall in Kashmir

Let us tell you that snowfall may occur at many places in Kashmir today. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert regarding this. This change in weather will come due to a western disturbance. There are chances of snowfall in the valley on January 17 as well. However, people have got a lot of relief due to the sunshine in Jammu.
