One Terrorist Killed In Pulwama Encounter: Jammu & Kashmir

One terrorist killed in the Pulwama encounter, the operation of security forces continues, terrorists are hiding in the mosque.

One terrorist has been killed in an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in Naina Batpora village of South Kashmir’s district Pulwama.

The security forces gave them several opportunities to surrender before intensifying the operation against these terrorists hiding in the mosque of the village.

To persuade them, the help of village clerics and elders were also taken, but the terrorists refused to lay down their weapons.

After this, in retaliation, the security forces killed one terrorist. A terrorist is still hiding in the mosque.

In view of the ongoing encounter in Pulwama, the administration has suspended the mobile internet service in Pulwama and Shopian as a precautionary measure.

Apart from this, the Srinagar-Banihal rail service has also been stopped.

The Pulwama Police said that they received information about the hiding of terrorists in Naina Batpora village.

Immediately after the information, they reached the village with the soldiers of 55 RR, SOG, and 182 battalions of CRPF.

As soon as the security forces cordoned off the area, they started the search operation to find the terrorists.

At the same time, the terrorists hiding in a hideout, seeing the security forces coming near them, started firing on them.

Before retaliation, the security forces asked the terrorists to lay down their arms but they continued to fire in retaliation.

The security forces also took the help of local people to persuade the terrorists, but they continued the process of firing.

Meanwhile, the terrorists came out of the house and hid in the mosque of the village.

To maintain the dignity of the religious place, the security forces once again took the help of Maulvi and some elders of the area to persuade the terrorists to lay down their arms.

This time also the terrorists did not agree and kept firing on the security forces from inside the mosque.

The security forces now felt that terrorists would not agree. After this, a terrorist was killed in retaliation by the security forces.

The identity of the slain terrorist is yet to be ascertained. Another terrorist hiding in the mosque is still firing.
