Pak vs SL Test: Pakistani opener made a world record by batting 524 minutes, left the veterans behind.

Pakistan’s young opener Abdullah Shafiq led the team to victory by playing an unmatched inning in the Galle Test against Sri Lanka.

Chasing 342 runs against Sri Lanka, this batsman played an unbeaten inning of 160 runs for Pakistan and ensured the team’s victory.

During this innings, he did such a feat that no batsman had been able to do before. Shafiq’s batting against Sri Lanka made the difficult target easy for Pakistan.

The record of achieving the biggest goal in the cheek was named after Pakistan’s team.

While this batsman, who came to the opening, played the longest innings in the fourth innings and made the team win.

Players like legendary Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, and Ricky Ponting were also left behind by the Pakistani opener in terms of playing long innings while chasing the target.

Pak vs SL Test: Shafiq’s world record.

From Pakistan’s side, opener Shafiq batted for more than 500 minutes while chasing the target, giving the team victory. Till now no batsman had done wonders of batting for the team for so long.

Facing 408 balls, Shafiq played an unbeaten inning of 160 runs with the help of 7 fours and 1 six. Batted 524 minutes during this.

Till now no batsman in cricket history has batted in the second innings for so long for the winning team.

Longest test batting record.

The record of batting on the field for the longest time in Test history is in the name of Hanif Mohammad of Pakistan. He batted for 970 minutes against West Indies in 1958.

The match was a draw and he hit a total of 24 fours. After this comes the name of former South African batsman Gary Kirsten. In the 1999 Durban Test, he batted for 878 minutes and scored 275 runs.

This match was also a draw. At number three is the name of former England captain Alastair Cook, who batted against Pakistan till 836 in 2015.

Pakistan got the victory.

After bowling Sri Lanka for 222 runs in the first innings, the Pakistan team scored 218 runs thanks to captain Babar Azam’s century.

The hosts, taking a marginal lead of 4 runs, were reduced to 337 runs in the second innings and Pakistan got the target of 342 runs.

The team achieved this on the fifth day by losing 6 wickets on the basis of Shafiq’s century.
