Pakistan’s conspiracies failed, attack on terrorism. Security forces thrashed terrorism on Thursday and thwarted Pakistan’s conspiracies. The army recovered a consignment of arms for Jaish-e-Mohammed from slave Kashmir in the Uri sector adjoining the LoC in North Kashmir.
It also includes deadly Assault rifles like the M-16. Apart from this, the police arrested two Jaish terrorists plotting the recruitment of new terrorists in Kupwara in North Kashmir.
Vivek Venkat, the commanding officer of the eight Rashtriya Rifles of the army, said that for the past one week, information was received that a large cache of arms from Pak-Occupied-Kashmir was about to arrive for the militants active in the Valley via the Uri sector.
Taking cognizance of this information, a campaign was carried out in the forward areas Kalabat, Chhappad, Dulanja, Katig area, and Dulanja Infantry Safe Line located in the northern part of Jhelum in the Uri sector.
A search operation was started in the Safe Line area at half-past two in the afternoon, which lasted till 5:30 am on Thursday. During this campaign, a consignment of weapons hidden in a drain has been found.
This includes two M16 rifles manufactured in Pakistan, two pistols, four magazines of Mi-16 rifles, and four magazines of pistols and other accessories. He said that the recovered weapons were for Jaish terrorists.
Two terrorists caught in Kupwara: Police had come to know that some terrorists were coming to Kupwara to recruit new terrorists and plot a network for Jaish terrorists coming from across the border. Based on this, the police blocked the road leading to Kupwara with the army.
During the blockade near the Food Corporation’s storehouse in Dragmula, the jawans signaled to stop seeing a car JK05-0872. On seeing the Naka, the car driver and a young man sitting with him tried to run away but failed. They were captured by the security forces.
According to sources, when questioned by both, they turned out to be Jaish terrorists. He has been identified as Wasim Irshad Gabru and Mehrajudin Wani. Both are residents of Sopore. In addition to the cash of seven lakhs, an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, 30 cartridges, and a grenade were found in the car.
According to police sources, during the interrogation, Irshad and Mehrajudin have given much important information about Jaish’s plans to rebuild their network in North Kashmir. He told that he had come to Kupwara to join some boys in the Jaish.
These youths were to be recruited and handed over an assault rifle. In addition, a local overground worker network was also to be created. For this, he came out with cash of seven lakh rupees to be distributed among the people concerned.
