Former Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee has been sent from judicial custody till September 21 in the CBI custody in the teacher appointment scam.
The special CBI court in Kolkata gave this verdict on Friday.
Along with Parth, former West Bengal Board of Secondary Education chairman Kalyanmoy Ganguly has also been sent to CBI custody till September 21.
Kalyanmay was arrested by the CBI on Thursday after six hours of interrogation.

On the same day, the CBI had also applied in the court to take Parth into its custody, taking note of which the court had asked the Presidency Jail Administration to produce Parth in the court on Friday.
On this day, Parth wept again in the court. He told the judge- ‘Give me justice, otherwise, I will die.
I’m sick I take 28 medicines daily. On the other hand, the CBI claimed in the court that Parth is the mastermind of the teacher appointment scam.
There is a lot of evidence against him, so it is necessary to take him into custody and interrogate him.
At the same time, by producing Kalyanmay in court, CBI requested seven days’ custody. Kalyanmay claimed in the court that he had not got anyone illegally appointed.
It was argued on behalf of the CBI that the deserving candidates have been denied, hence their interrogation is necessary.
CBI raids Anubrata’s house again in the cattle smuggling case.
In the cattle smuggling case, the CBI on Friday again raided the house of Trinamool Congress’s Bahubali leader Anubrata Mandal in Bolpur.
His daughter Sukanya was also questioned. Anubrata has already been arrested and is currently in judicial custody in Asansol jail.

A division bench of Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava and Justice Rajarshi Bhardwaj pronounced the verdict on Tuesday. The court said that this decision cannot be taken by the government alone.
Significantly, Sonali was re-appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of CU on August 27 last year by the government.
A Public Interest Litigation was filed against this in the High Court, on which this decision has come.
It states that Sonali Chakraborty Bandyopadhyay has not been the Vice Chancellor since the time the decision was announced. They have been removed.
