PM’s Principal Secretary reviews the Covid-19 situation in the country, important instructions are given. PM’s principal secretary PK Mishra reviewed the situation on Saturday in view of the record increase in cases of corona infection in the country.

During this, he called for a detailed action plan for the coming days based on the information and analysis of the development of the epidemic in the last few months. The Union Health Ministry issued a statement stating that the Principal Secretary directed all concerned authorities to make evidence-based preparation on all aspects of the disease with the active participation of districts and states.

The meeting discussed in detail the continual enhancement and upgrading of human resources, the right mix of tests for effective case management, trace and isolation of contacts, uninterrupted supply of oxygen, and medical equipment. Apart from this, the stage of vaccine development and its distribution were also discussed in the meeting.

Cabinet Secretary, NITI Aayog member Dr. Vinod Paul, Principal Scientific Adviser K.K. Vijay Raghavan, convenor of all empowered action groups, and secretaries of the concerned departments were present. The number of coronavirus cases in the country is constantly increasing. The number of patients infected with the coronavirus has crossed 47 lakh.

During the last twenty-four hours, more than 78 thousand patients have been cured and the figure of those who beat Corona has also reached close to 37 lakhs. More than a thousand people have also died during this period. So far, more than 78 thousand people have lost their lives due to the epidemic.

Meanwhile, in Madhya Pradesh’s most affected district, Indore has recorded 351 new cases in 24 hours. Now the number of infected people has reached 16,782. 458 patients have died in the district so far. The number of active cases is 5,011.

Talking about the entire Madhya Pradesh, the number of infected people here is more than 83 thousand, while the number of deaths has reached 1 thousand 691.

94, 362 new cases registered in 24 hours

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, 94,372 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country during the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of corona infected has increased to 47 lakh 54 thousand 357.

Out of this, 37 lakh 02 thousand 596 people have been completely cured, while 9 lakh 73 thousand 175 are active cases. So far 78,586 patients have died from this epidemic, including 1,114 new deaths.
