Serena Williams’ journey ends at Wimbledon, heartbroken after being ruled out due to injury.

American tennis star Serena Williams’ journey to Wimbledon 2021 ended in an unfortunate way. The star tennis player’s heart broke on the green grass court when he had to be out due to injury.

She was ruled out of the tournament with a right leg injury in her first-round match against Belarusian Eliaksandra Sesnovi late on Tuesday.

Serena, who has won seven of her 23 Grand Slam singles titles here, pulled out of the match when the score was tied 3-3 in the first set.

This is only the second time in any Grand Slam tournament that Serena has to withdraw from the match. Had to be forced Earlier in 1998 also he had to withdraw from the Grand Slam tournament.

Serena slipped on the center court of Wimbledon at the same spot where Adrian Mannarino, playing a match against Roger Federer, was injured.

Serena said, ‘It broke my heart to withdraw from the match. Today as I walked out on the court and felt the wonderful warmth and support from the audience. This is my world.’

“He is an unmatched champion and it’s a sad story,” said his opponent, Sesnovi.

In the other match, France’s Elije Cornet made a comeback by defeating fifth seed Bianca Andgescu in the first round of the Grand Slam tournament.

Cornet defeated Andescu for the second time in two weeks. She broke former US champion Andescu five times and defeated the Canadian 6-2, 6-1.

Cornet had also defeated Andgiscu at Bilan two weeks ago. French Open runner-up Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova entered the second round with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ana Bogdan in one hour.

Tokyo Olympics 2021: Srihari Natraj and Dutee Chand get Olympic tickets.

Indian swimmer Srihari Nataraj on Wednesday officially made it to the Tokyo Olympics after the sport’s global governing body FINA approved his A qualification level in the men’s 100m backstroke event at the Sete Colli Trophy in Rome.

The Swimming Federation of India (SFI) wrote on Twitter, “Srihari Nataraja’s Olympic qualification time of 53.77 seconds during a time trial in Sete Koli Trophy has been approved by FINA.

SFI had sent his representation to FINA. Srihari will be joined by Sajan Prakash of India as a qualification entrant in Tokyo.
