Police On High Alert Regarding Friday Prayers In Kanpur
Police on high alert regarding Friday prayers and Jagannath Yatra, guarded against the ground to the sky: Kanpur.
The Kanpur Commissionerate Police has been taking special vigil since the violence that broke out in the Nai Sadak area of Beconganj police station area on June 3.
In this sequence, special security arrangements have been made in view of Friday prayers and Jagannath Yatra.
Paramilitary forces including police and PAC have been deployed everywhere. Police keep an eye on every activity from the ground to the sky.
According to Kanpur Police Commissioner Vijay Meena, buildings will be monitored with 8 drone cameras, while a force of 4000 policemen has been deployed in the surrounding areas of Beconganj.
Along with this, 1800 Civil Defense wardens along with 2500 young police friends will be posted from morning itself.
The Commissioner of Police and Joint Commissioner of Police will keep an eye on the video of the drone camera through a notepad.
Appeal to all to maintain peace.
On Thursday evening too, foot patrolling was done under the leadership of the Police Commissioner and an appeal was made to all to maintain peace and harmony.
Especially after the hate killings in Udaipur, the police seem more alert. People have been instructed to avoid posting, sharing, or liking any kind of controversial posts on social media.
It has also been said that any kind of misleading or controversial post should be immediately reported to the police.
Dawat-e-Islami has more than 50000 supporters in the city.
On the other hand, the strings of the murder of tailor Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur are also seen connecting Kanpur. So the police are on high alert.
According to the information received, the Commissionerate Police has contacted the NIA. Police are looking for Sartaj, who runs Dawat-e-Islami in Kanpur.
According to police sources, more than 50,000 supporters of Dawat-e-Islami are active in the city.
After the Friday prayers, the Commissionerate Police can raid Sartaj’s residence, including the Markaz of Dawat-e-Islami.
