According to the information received from the sources, the first raid was conducted in Sheikh Hamza Colony Lal Bazar, house of Shaukat Ahmed Mota’s son Abdul Samad.
The police team led by SDPO Nehru Park reached his house in the morning and started the search operation. During this, all the members of the house have been kept together.
Not only this, neither is being allowed to go out of the house nor is anyone being allowed to come in from outside so that there is no disturbance in the investigation process.
It is being told that Shaukat Ahmed is the editor-in-chief of Kashmir Narrator magazine. Although this magazine is not being published since 2019. Earlier they used to work in Greater Kashmir.
He has also been writing for Outlook. Later he joined the Kashmir Reader newspaper and after that, he started his own magazine Kashmir Narrator. Shaukat Mota Angana Chatterjee is close to Arundhati Roy.
The second journalist from Kashmir, whose house has been raided, has been identified as Azhar Qadri’s son Farooq Qadri.
Another police team reached Abubakar Colony Bemina this morning and started the search operation. Azhar Qadri used to work in PTI earlier.
Later associated with The Tribune. For the past year, he has been writing for various magazines in the country and abroad.
Apart from this, the search operation of the police is also going on at the houses of two other journalists of Kashmir Valley.
The campaign is also going on in Mahjoor-Nagar at the residence of Abbas Shah associated with Kashmir Uzma and Hilal Mir, who works for TRT Turkey.
Hilal Mir has also worked as a reporter and then editor in Greater Kashmir. Hilal Mir has also been an Associate Editor in Hindustan Times.
He also stayed with Kashmir Reader for a long time and after 2016 he is again associated with Greater Kashmir and writing for some foreign newspapers.
Hilal Mir and Shaukat Mota are also good friends. Both have been considered supporters of separatist ideology.
At the same time, when the police officers were asked about this raid, they refused to divulge anything about it and said that information will be given only after the investigation process is completed.
