Conspiring to draw Narendra Modi into riots in Gujarat, Ahmed Patel gives money to Teesta Setalvad: state government: Gujarat riots.
Following the Gujarat riots, there was a major revelation about Teesta Setalvad, the NGO operator arrested in the case involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Opposing the bail request, the state government, in its report to the Gujarat High Court, said Setalvad’s ability to tamper with evidence should be the main reason for refusing to release him.
Ahmed Patel gave 30 lakh rupees.
The state government added evidence was also found against him that he fabricated false evidence.
The prosecutor told the court that Setalvad received Rs 30 lakh from Congress leader Ahmed Patel to overthrow the Narendra Modi government after the 2002 riots in Gujarat.
Setalvad has become the puppet of politicians.
Representing the state government, Mitesh Amin argued in court on Nirzar Desai, naming late congress leader Ahmed Patel by name, that Setalvad had become a tool of politicians from several political parties.
Old IPS and retired DGP are also included.
Advocate Mitesh added that Setalvad then engaged two police officers, former IPS Sanjeev Bhatt and retired DGP RB Sreekumar, for her accomplices into the plot.
The aim of this conspiracy was to impersonate the Gujarat Minister Narendra in 2002 and tarnish his image in society.
