So far, the security forces have been successful in killing one terrorist in the ongoing encounter. Firing is still going on from both sides.

In Pulwama, three to four terrorists armed with automatic weapons were seen at 11.30 pm in Hanjan, Rajpora.

On knowing this, the police, along with the army and CRPF personnel, started a siege of the village. At around twelve o’clock in the night, the terrorists opened fire on the soldiers to break the siege.

The soldiers retaliated while defending themselves and after that, the encounter started. Around three terrorists have been surrounded by security forces.

In the ongoing encounter against the terrorists, 44 Rashtriya Rifles soldiers of the Army have gone to Kashi Shaheed. Earlier, he was admitted to the Army’s 92 Base Hospital in critical condition.

Security forces laid siege to Khudwani.

Meanwhile, two terrorists reached out to one of their contacts in Khudwani, Kulgam. On knowing this, the security forces laid siege to Khudwani.

The officials concerned said that the search was not started as it was dark. At present, all the routes to and from the village have been closed. The search operation has started again with the morning prayer.
