Sajjad Gani Lone Said – His Father Paid Price Of Telling The Truth

Sajjad Gani Lone said – his father paid the price of telling the truth, it is good that he died the hero’s death: Jammu Kashmir.

People’s Conference Chairman and former Social Welfare Minister Sajjad Gani Lain on Friday recalled his late father.

He said that his father had been put to death 19 years ago today on the same day for telling the truth. Well, to tell the truth, is as difficult today as it was then.

Lashkar-e-Taiba militants of Sajjad Gani Lone’s father Abdul Gani Lone killed him on 21 May 2002 at a planned rally in connection with Mirwaiz Faruk’s anniversary in Eidgah.

Abdul Ghani Lone played a key role in the formation of the Hurriyat Conference in 1993 and the Muslim United Front Kashmir before that. Abdul Ghani Lone was active in mainstream politics before separatist politics.

He was preparing the Hurriyat Conference to join electoral politics in 2002. He was against Pakistan’s excessive interference in Kashmir and strongly against foreign terrorists.

He was in a mood to see Pakistan and foreign terrorists out of Kashmir soon. Sajjad Gani Lone has many times attributed the fundamentalist Geelani and Pakistan to the murder of his father.

Today, while paying homage to his father, Sajjad Gani Lone has written on his Twitter handle without naming the fanatic Geelani.

The thing I am most happy today is that those who propagated my father here and prepared the atmosphere for his murder, some of those people in the crowd are still alive, but their life is worse today, they are like zombies.

Sajjad Gani Lone wrote in another tweet, “Well done, my father is martyred at the right time, he has died a hero.” He has written that as long as we continue to lie about the murderers.

We will shirk from telling who killed the people, all of us will be in such a difficult situation. People should know where their exploiter, the oppressor, may be sitting.
