A joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army, and CRPF has conducted a search operation in the Panama Fold area of ​​Kud on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

Apart from this, a team of security forces is also conducting search operations in the Natha top area of ​​Sanasar.

Due to the ongoing campaign, the movement of vehicles on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been stopped at present.

Police and army have not given any information about this campaign yet. Sources say that some locals saw three to four suspected gunmen in Kud’s Panama bend around 2 am Friday.

During the cold weather, people have seen some suspected gunmen walking in the mountainous area and informed the army and police about this.

As soon as the information was received, a joint team of army, police, and CRPF personnel reached the Panama diversion and started searching in the areas along the national highway.

Security forces also searched the highway. They feared that if the suspects seen were terrorists, they might not have put IEDs on the road.

Security forces have also continued search operations in Panama Mor, Narsu Nalla, and Natha Top area of ​​Sanasar.

To ensure the safety of the people, the movement of vehicles on both sides of the Jammu-Srinagar highway has been stopped till the campaign continues.

Sources say that no suspects have been confirmed to be seen yet. You are aware that earlier terrorist activities have been seen in this area.

Shahnawaz Hussain’s convoy was the target of terrorists in Bijbehada, attacks in Anantnag and Pulwama. 

The convoy and electoral rally of the party’s leader Shahnawaz Hussain, who is commanding the BJP’s election campaign in the District Development Council elections in Kashmir, were targeted by the terrorists.

On Thursday, militants carried out three attacks within six hours at Bijbihara in Anantnag district and Avantipora in Pulwama district.

An attack took place in Bijbihara, about 500 meters from Shahnawaz Hussain’s rally site, from where his convoy was to pass after about fifteen minutes.

Before that an attack took place in the Kadbal region of Avantipara in Pulwama, this area is also within a kilometer radius of the rally site of Shahnawaz.

During this, the terrorists who came on the motorcycle fired grenades and also opened fire on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers, in which a soldier was injured.

Another encounter took place in the Gundababa area of ​​Anantnag in the morning. During this encounter, an injured terrorist was caught.

It is believed that the target of these terrorists could also be Shahnawaz’s convoy. However, the police administration has not yet reacted to this.
