Security enhanced by Delhi Police at NIA office, barricades closed Delhi Police tightened security at the office of Delhi-based NIA (National Investigation Agency).
The path leading to this side from the traffic police was closed with a barricade. Two days ago, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) sent notices to more than a dozen people in connection with its investigation into the banned organization Sikh for Justice (SJF) case.
These people include a journalist, farmer leaders associated with the movement against the new agricultural laws, and others. An NIA official said that the agency has sent notices to several people for questioning. He has been called as a witness to confirm some facts of the case.
When asked who other than journalists have been called, the said officer said that nothing can be said specifically about the profession of those called for questioning.
However, the NIA has also summoned Baldev Singh, president of the Public Goodness Justice Welfare Society, one of the farmer unions taking part in negotiations with the government on the new agricultural laws.
According to the summons, Baldev Singh has been asked to appear at the agency’s headquarters in South Delhi’s CGO Complex on January 17.
Apart from them, Surendra Singh Tikriwal, Palvinder Singh, Pradeep Singh, Nobeljit Singh, and Karnail Singh have also been asked to appear before the agency on January 17 and 18.
The NIA registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Unlawful Activities Act on December 15 last year after the government issued a notification.
Security enhanced by Delhi Police at NIA office: The NIA alleges in the FIR that various Khalistani terrorist organizations, including illegal organizations Sikh for Justice and Babbar Khalsa International, Khalistan Tiger Force, Khalistani Zindabad Force, have hatched a conspiracy with their leading organizations.
The motive of this conspiracy is to create an atmosphere of fear and chaos, to create discontent among the people, and to incite them to revolt against the government.
According to the FIR, large amounts of funds are being raised abroad for ground-level operations and propaganda against missions located in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, and other countries.
These campaigns are declared by terrorists Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, Paramjit Singh Pamma, Hardeep Singh Najjar, and others.
