The Final Attack On Terrorism In Kashmir, BSF To Take Charge
The final attack on terrorism in Kashmir, BSF returns after 14 years for internal security.
The brave soldiers of the Border Security Force (BSF), called the era of terrorists in Kashmir, will be seen again after 14 years together with other security forces, crushing terrorism in the valley.
The decision has been taken to re-involve the BSF in internal security and counter-terrorist operations in Kashmir.
BSF involvement has been given nod for the ongoing preparations to give the final blow to the dying terrorism in Kashmir after the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
In the first phase, about two dozen companies of BSF are being deployed in Kashmir. Normally there are 90 to 100 officers and jawans in each company.
Around 55 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in the Valley in the last month.
This is a big step to prevent the recent terrorist violence in Kashmir and the possibility of infiltration of trained terrorists into Afghanistan.
Deployment in these districts: BSF is being deployed in Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag, Ganderbal, Kulgam, and Baramulla.
Some of these companies will replace CRPF personnel. The removed CRPF personnel will be deployed to handle the law and order situation.
The main reason for bringing BSF.
Border Security Force has experience of fighting terrorism in Kashmir before.
The intelligence system of BSF is very capable, which is also active in the border areas.
Fully aware of the geographical, social, and security conditions of Kashmir.
BSF has more resources than CRPF.
BSF has experience of fighting in urban areas, forests, plains, water, and even in mountains.
The final attack on terrorism in Kashmir: This will be the responsibility of BSF.
BSF personnel will take care of the security of important installations.
It mainly includes telephone exchange in Srinagar, Banquet Hall, All India Radio Complex Kashmir, Old Secretariat, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Office, Hari Parvat, etc.
Apart from this, the responsibility of making the highway safe at certain places on the Srinagar-Anantnag and Srinagar-Baramulla highways will also rest with the BSF.
They will also be included in counter-terrorist operations in South Kashmir as required.
BSF was fully activated in the year 1993 in Kashmir. After this, BSF played an important role in crushing terrorism.
In the year 2005, the BSF began to be withdrawn from anti-terrorist operations in Srinagar.
By the year 2007, the BSF was released from the operational duty from the plaintiff and was deployed to fulfill its fundamental responsibility on the border.
Although some BSF corps were called for internal security duty in the valley after the violent demonstrations in the valley in 2016.
Also during the implementation of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act in 2019, these corps returned after a few days.
That’s why BSF is called the era of terrorists: In Jammu and Kashmir, BSF has played an important role in eliminating terrorism in about 14 years and also gave full cooperation to the police.
During this, the force played an important role in neutralizing 3,000 terrorists.
These include infamous terrorists Akbar Bhai, Saifullah Khalid Engineer, Abbas Rahi, Haider Hijaji, Ghazi Baba of Jaish, and his successor Sahrai Baba.
Apart from this, more than a dozen terrorist attacks in Srinagar were also foiled.
BSF has also recovered about 11 thousand small and big weapons besides arresting about 9400 terrorists in anti-terrorist operations in the valley.
