Signatures Of One Crore People, Being Done Against Conversion
Signatures of one crore people are being done against conversion in Punjab will demand the Governor to enact a law, Dharma Bachao Morcha.
In view of the increasing cases of conversion in Punjab, Dharma Bachao Morcha has been formed by joining religious, social organizations and saints together.
The signature campaign has been started across Punjab by its members. Under this, after getting the signatures of one crore people, a demand letter will be handed over to the Governor to make a law against conversion.
There are 13 members mainly including Sant Amrit Muni Mansa, Sant Baba Anmol Singh Barnala, Sant Swami Surya Pratap Machiwada, Sant Baba Balbir Singh Gurdwara Tibba Sahib Hoshiarpur, Rajiv Pathak.
Rajeev Pathak, a resident of Faridkot, said that so far 10 lakh people have got signatures under the campaign.
A large number of Hindu and Sikh organizations of Punjab are participating in the campaign.
Durgesh Sharma, the head of Brahmin Sabha Punjab, said that for some time now, rapid conversion is taking place in Punjab, especially in the border districts, it is becoming a big problem.
It is wrong to convert people by giving inducements, for which Dharma Bachao Morcha has been formed two months ago. Its headquarter is in Jalandhar.
Rajeev Pathak and Durgesh Sharma informed that the signature campaign has been started in Faridkot from Friday.
He said that like many other states in Punjab too, a demand letter containing the signatures of more than one crore people would be handed over to the Governor of Punjab demanding a law to ban the conversion.

Former Congress state president Navjot Singh Sidhu’s political advisor Mohammad Mustafa has blamed the party’s defeat in the Punjab Assembly elections on former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and former Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat.
He tweeted and blamed Rawat for the defeat on Charanjit Singh Channi and former Punjab Congress in-charge Harish.
“Unfortunately, making Charanjit Singh Channi the chief minister was such an unexpected decision that no one could have stopped the party’s ruin,” he wrote. Harish Rawat also harmed the party.
