In the coming years, the coastal areas of Kerala are prone to storms, know what is the reason .

The coastal areas of Kerala may face difficulties in the coming years as a result of rising sea temperatures. During this time the behavior of the sea may remain erratic, storms may occur at short intervals and high waves may rise.

This is what the experts of maritime affairs have said. These experts were speaking at a webinar organized by the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute.

This program was organized on the occasion of World Environment Day. Discussing the high waves rising from the sea and the erosion caused by it, the experts said, this poses a great threat to the population of the coastal areas.

In order to reduce this threat, intensive afforestation should be done for plants planted in moist areas. After a few years, these forests will act as a security wall for the population living in the coastal areas.
