The police have claimed to have arrested a terrorist from the Doda district of the Jammu division.
The terrorist arrested by Doda police has been identified as Farid Ahmed son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Koti Doda.
A Chinese-made pistol, two magazines, 14 live cartridges, and a mobile phone were recovered from his possession.
Issuing a statement, the Doda police said that on Monday, the police arrested a local terrorist resident of Koti Doda in the district. He has been identified as Farid Ahmed.
A Naka was put up in the town by the Doda police station. Meanwhile, the Naka party stopped a youth passing by for a search.
When the youth was searched, arms and other items were recovered from his possession. The terrorist was immediately arrested. He is being closely interrogated.
During the preliminary investigation, the said terrorist revealed that some terrorists had provided him with weapons in the month of March.
He was assigned the task of carrying out attacks on police personnel in Doda. Before the terrorist plotted to attack the police personnel, his nefarious designs were arrested by the police.
A case has been registered against the terrorist at Doda Police Station.
