Terrorists Escaped From The Encounter Site In Kulgam

Terrorists escaped from the encounter site in Kulgam last night, the search operation of security forces continues this morning: Kulgam Encounter.

An encounter broke out in Kulgam in South Kashmir late on Saturday night when the terrorists trapped in the siege opened fire on the security forces to escape.

According to the information received here, two to three terrorists came to meet some of their contacts after sunset on Saturday in Rampora, Kayamu, and Kulgam. A villager immediately informed the police.

Police along with Army’s 01 RR and CRPF personnel laid siege to Rampora.

As soon as the security forces started the search operation while laying siege in the village, the terrorists hiding in a house opened fire on them and tried to escape by breaking the siege.

The security forces retaliated while defending themselves and foiled the escape plan of the terrorists. With this, the encounter started.

The security forces also asked the terrorists to surrender, but they continued firing.

In the midst of the firing of the terrorists, the security forces also shifted many people from nearby houses to a safe place.

The officials concerned said that the encounter started around 10.45 pm.

The number of terrorists maybe two to three and efforts are on to persuade them to surrender. All routes for the terrorists to escape were closed. The terrorists were firing continuously.

Meanwhile, taking advantage of the darkness late in the night, the terrorists managed to escape. At present, the search operation of the security forces is going on in the area even this morning.

J&K Cricket Association Scam: Dr. Farooq Abdullah’s troubles increase, ED summons other accused in JKCA scam in court

The problems of National Conference President and former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah regarding the scam in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association do not seem to be diminishing.

The Principal District Sessions Judge, Srinagar, on Saturday, taking cognizance of a complaint filed by the ED in connection with the scam, summoned Dr. Farooq Abdullah and other accused to the court.

The matter will be heard on August 27. The ED has filed a money laundering complaint against Dr. Farooq Abdullah and three others in the financial scam at JKCA.

Before issuing summons against Dr. Farooq Abdullah, the court heard the side of ED’s counsel Additional Solicitor General Tahir Majid Shamsi.

Tahim Majid Shamsi also presented necessary records against Dr. Farooq and other accused in the court.

He also gave information related to the interrogation of Dr. Farooq Abdullah by ED officials in the same case on May 31.
