The army caught PoK citizen crossing the Line of Control in Balakot: Balakot LoC.

A citizen of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir has been apprehended by Indian Army personnel from a village near the Line of Control from Balakot sector falling in Mendhar tehsil of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

The arrested citizen has been identified as Mohammed Qadir, a resident of Gimba village falling in PoK. He is still being questioned by the army. He has not yet been handed over to the police.

According to information received from the sources, around 3 pm on Sunday.

Indian Army personnel stationed at the forward posts of the Line of Control in Balakot crossed the Line of Control and saw a civilian moving in suspicious condition in Indian territory.

The army caught PoK civilian: The Indian Army personnel immediately followed the ceasefire and informed the higher officials.

At the same time, the army officers and soldiers kept an eye on him and took the suspected civilian into custody without harming him.

When the army asked him, he called his name Mohammad Qadir. He said that he is a resident of Gimba village of PoK. It is not yet clear how he came across the border into Indian territory.

The army is trying to know whether he had come across this under any conspiracy. At present, the captured civilian is in the possession of the army.

SSP Poonch, Dr. Vinod Kumar, while confirming the arrest of the PoK citizen, said that he has not yet been handed over to the police.

Jitendra Kumar said that adequate arrangements have been made to have thousands of devotees coming from all over the country on the Chaitra Navratri to have a pleasant and safe darshan.

Every young person is fully attentive. The devotees are constantly being made aware to follow the guidelines issued regarding the corona.

At the same time, SP Katra Amit Bhasin said that an additional number of soldiers have been deployed for Navratri from Bhavan to Katra.

The devotees will not be allowed to face any kind of trouble. Strict security arrangements have been made as a precautionary measure.
