The strategic-diplomatic importance of India’s declaration can be understood from the fact that the US Navy has also shown its enthusiasm. He said that the coming together of the four countries was four times the maritime strength.

Australia participated in the Malabar exercise in 2007 but withdrew after objections from China. However, he had wanted to be a part of the practice for some time after China’s growing zeal and relationship with him.

India wants to increase cooperation

The Defense Ministry said in its statement, ‘India wants to increase cooperation with other countries in the field of maritime security.

The Australian Navy’s participation in the Malabar-2020 Naval Maneuver will be seen in the wake of increased cooperation in defense with Australia.

The scheme of maneuvers focuses on the topic ‘no contact at sea’. This exercise will strengthen coordination among the Allied Navy.

There will be practice in November

The Malabar naval exercise began in 1992 between the Indo-US. Japan became part of it in 2015. The exercise will take place between the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea in November this year.

This annual exercise took place on the Guam coast of the Philippines in 2018 and in Japan in 2019.
