Toyota India has recalled the Land Cruiser LC300 luxury SUV in the country. Toyota said in a statement that 269 units have been recalled to update the automatic transmission ECU of the Land Cruiser LC300.

The company has said that this recall is for those models that were manufactured between February 12, 2021 and February 1, 2023. let us go through all the details.

The recall essentially requires users to bring their Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 back to service stations to reprogram the 10-speed automatic transmission on the luxury SUV.

The brand’s flagship product, the LC300, went on sale in 2021. However, it was not officially launched in the country until late 2022.

Toyota further revealed that no cases have been registered related to the affected parts of the recalled Land Cruiser.

The company said its representatives will contact individual customers as part of the recall campaign. Alternatively, customers can contact their nearest Toyota dealer to resolve any concerns.

The flagship SUV from the manufacturer is the Land Cruiser LC300. Talking about dimensions, its length is 5 meters.

At the same time, to power this SUV, a 3.3-liter V6 diesel engine has been provided, which provides 305 bhp and 700 Nm peak torque.

It is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels. The SUV gets 6 driving modes, 4-zone climate control, LED lighting, a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and more.

The long waiting period continues for the new Toyota Land Cruiser globally and the SUV is priced at Rs 2.10 crore (ex-showroom).

This luxury SUV comes in India as a completely built unit (CBU). In the Indian market, it competes with the BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift, and Range Rover.
