UN Agencies Gave 10 Thousand Oxygen Concentrators To India

UN agencies gave 10 thousand oxygen concentrators to India.

Various agencies of the United Nations (UN) have given 10,000 central oxygen concentrators and 10 million masks to the central and state governments of India to combat the coronavirus epidemic.

UN Secretary-General’s spokesman, Stephen Dujarik, said in his daily press conference that United Nations teams are cooperating with officials at both the national and local levels.

The United Nations team has also purchased a ventilator and oxygen generating plant. In addition, UNICEF is providing cold chain equipment for the Corona vaccine.

“Our team is providing testing machines and kits as well as airport thermal scanners,” Dujarik said. The WHO is offering tents and beds for the temporary health center.

It has also deployed thousands of public health experts to help combat the epidemic. UNICEF and the United Nations Development Program are helping to monitor 1,75,000 vaccination centers.

UNICEF Executive Director Henrieta Four has warned earlier that the dangerous condition of coronavirus in India is a bell for all of us.

Until the world steps in and does not help India, cases of virus-related deaths, mutations in the virus, and delays in supply will continue to come across the region and around the world.

Airport authority became helpful in delivering vaccines.

The Airport Authority of India released an official statement on Thursday, stating that the airports under its supervision have played a special role in delivering more than nine and a half million doses of corona vaccine across the country in the recent past.

The Airport Authority (AAI), which works under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, manages more than 100 airports across India.

The AAI statement said that its airports are jointly owned by airlines, various state administrations, and other stakeholders.

Working together so that the vaccine consignments are not wasted time and they are handed over to the state health department to maintain the cold chain within the shortest possible time, he said, on average within three to 20 minutes of landing from the aircraft.

The consignment of vaccines is handed over to the concerned departments. The statement said, taking utmost care through the airports of AAI, delivery of around 9.5 crore vaccines has been ensured so far.
