Vladimir Putin will not come to India for the G20 Summit, all focus is on the Ukraine war, and fear of arrest too.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will not personally attend the G20 summit in New Delhi on September 9-10. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced the information here on Friday.
“No, the president has no such plans,” the Kremlin spokesman said, according to the state-run news agency. Peskov said the form of Putin’s involvement will be decided later.
Putin did not personally attend the recently concluded 15th BRICS summit in Johannesburg. His representative was Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
President Putin decided not to participate in the first live BRICS summit after COVID-19 after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant against him in March.
South Africa is a signatory to the ICC and it was feared that it would help to arrest Putin when he arrived.
G20 preparations are in full swing, 20 bulletproof cars are on lease for foreign guests, and 150 new luxury cars will come from these states.
The G20 Summit is going to be held in Delhi next month.

According to sources, 150 luxury cars have been demanded by the Ministry of External Affairs. But luxury cars are not available in Delhi.
In such a situation, arrangements are being made for luxury cars from Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, and Punjab.
