On Saturday evening, the police received information about the hiding of Sushil and his special Ajay Sehrawat at a place in Mohali, but both escaped before the police team reached there.

Meanwhile, a tweet from some people in Punjab sparked the rumor that Sushil and Ajay had surrendered to the Punjab Police and the Punjab Police had handed over both of them to the Delhi Police.

Convincing the rumor of arrest, several Delhi Police officials also confirmed it, but later the arrest was proved to be a rumor.

Finally, on Sunday morning, senior police officers confirmed Sushil’s arrest and also released his picture and stamped on him.

Actually, the SIM that Sushil is using is named after Sukhpreet Singh Brar of Bathinda. On Friday, when Delhi Police reached Sukhpreet’s house and questioned him.

It was found that he had sent the sim to Sushil a few days ago through Mamre Bhai Aman with a SIM in his name. He was not found after searching the house of Aman. The police has not arrested Sukhpreet yet.

Since the morning of May 5, Sushil and all the accused involved in the murder are absconding. The police had also obtained a non-bailable warrant against him and six others on May 15.

A reward of Rs one lakh on Sushil and Rs 50 thousand on Ajay was also announced. Also, the police had seized Sushil’s passport.

For the first several days, the police continued to raid Sushil in various places in Delhi as well as in Bahadurgarh in Uttarakhand and Haryana but he could not be found.
