Late in the night near the village Jalalabad in the district, some youths ran away snatching an AK-47 rifle from a policeman.
The incident occurred near Jalalabad, a village in the Dharamkot area on the Moga – Jalandhar highway.
Some youths had a fight with two policemen at the block late at 2:30 pm. The youths beat up a lot both policemen and escaped by snatching an AK-47 rifle from them.
The police are conducting a search operation to retrieve the rifle and capture the youths. The incident has caused a sensation in the entire region.
According to the information, a policeman was on the block near village Jalalabad in the Dharmkot area on the Maega-Jalandhar highway in Moga district late at night.
During this, policemen questioned some young men. During this time, there was a dispute between the youths and the policemen and they got upset.
The youths then snatched the AK-47 rifle of the policeman and escaped. The attackers beat up and severely injured both policemen.
