Mehbooba said- Narendra Modi-Imran Khan talks on the lines of Vajpayee-Musharraf to resolve the Kashmir issue.

Peoples Democratic Party President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti have emphasized the involvement of Kashmiris in the process of negotiating India-Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue on the lines of the Hurriyat.

She said that every path of peace between India and Pakistan originates from Jammu and Kashmir. Both countries should resolve the Kashmir issue through dialogue.

At the same time, without naming the terrorists and separatists, she said that the people here should learn from the peasant movement that the whole world will advocate for you if it is presented in a peaceful manner.

The gun is not the solution to any issue. The road to peace originates from Jammu Kashmir itself.

In a brief conversation with Patkareen after addressing a conference to party workers in Anantnag today, Mehbooba Mufti said that Kashmir is a tricky issue. It is necessary to resolve this issue for peace in this entire region.

Whatever path of peace, originates from Jammu and Kashmir. We have always been supportive of dialogue. Negotiations have begun between India and Pakistan on the ceasefire.

We should have a dialogue with Pakistan, there should be a dialogue with the people of Jammu and Kashmir as well. Without naming the terrorists and separatists, he said, “I think our people should learn from the peasant movement that if we speak in a peaceful manner, the whole world will advocate you.”

There is no solution to the Kashmir issue without talks.

Mehbooba Mufti said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir feel that there is no solution to the Kashmir issue without talks. There is no choice without conversation. We want the way Vajpayee and Musharraf were negotiated.

In the same way, talks should be held between Imran Khan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resolve the Kashmir issue.

Earlier, addressing the party workers, Mehbooba Mufti said that the PDP had formed a government with the BJP only for the betterment of Kashmiris and to resolve the Kashmir issue.

She said that I did not support BJP’s anti-Kashmir agenda, so our government fell. BJP wanted to ban Jamaat-e-Islami.

I refused she said that the PDP was formed only to protect the interests of Jammu and Kashmir, to resolve the Kashmir issue.

In 2002, when my father, late Mufti Maheed Mohammad Sayeed formed the government here, a new round of India-Pakistan dialogue started on the Kashmir issue.

A ceasefire was announced at the LoC, cross-LoC bus service, and trade commenced. There was also a dialogue between India and Pakistan. There was a change in the atmosphere here in Kashmir too and it has been felt by all.

We can never forget on 5 august 2019

Mehbooba Mufti said that we are still fighting for the restoration of peace in Kashmir and the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, their identity. We can never forget what happened on 5 August 2019.

Today our lands are being given to outsiders. People are taking contracts outside, the participation of local people in employment is decreasing.

Whatever was ours, we are being taken away. But we will continue to take our rights, we will continue our fight.

Although the government is not letting people speak against themselves, the voice is being suppressed, but we will collect people from house to house. Will raise the voice of Jammu and Kashmir everywhere.
