According to the information received here, around ten o’clock in the night, suddenly there was a sound of the explosion of an LPG cylinder in a house in Sheikh Mohalla, Noorbagh.
With that, there was a fire. At the same time, the people present in the house ran outside to save their lives. They tried to douse the fire by shouting for help.
Meanwhile, the flames also engulfed the adjoining houses. Police and the army also reached the spot with their equipment to control the fire.
The fire brigade personnel also reached as soon as they got the information. Army personnel started action to control the fire. As the fire spread, the jawans continued the rescue operation to save the people.
According to the army, six people have been injured in this horrific fire while 170 to 200 people have suffered financial loss.
Somehow the fire was brought under control late in the night, but by then a dozen houses had been destroyed.
