Dr. Farooq Again Emphasized On Indo-Pak Talks
Dr. Farooq again emphasized on Indo-Pak talks, said both have to be serious towards relations.
National Conference (NC) President Dr. Farooq Abdullah has once again raised the tone of talks between India and Pakistan on the Kashmir issue.
He said that both countries should realize that they cannot win a war against each other. He said that his National Conference will always be in favor of talks between India and Pakistan.
Speaking at a meeting of party functionaries at Lamad and Deosar in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, Farooq said the two countries need to be serious about their ties.
Both the countries should ensure that the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh lead a life free from suffering.
There is no substitute for talks, he said. Both countries cannot win a war against each other. The sooner the two neighboring countries realize the ground reality, the better.
National Conference president Farooq said the more serious the two countries are in resolving all pending areas of dissent, the sooner the better for a quick return to lasting peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir and the region as a whole.
The people of both countries will benefit from the cordial relations between the two countries. He said that both the countries have to live shoulder to shoulder.
It is up to them whether they want to remain as enemies or as partners in development by becoming supportive friends.
Together, both countries can achieve a lot. Former Chief Minister Farooq said that if the relations between the two countries are to improve, they will have to reduce their differences to work together.
PM’s all-party meeting has no results on the ground:
A month after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with mainstream leaders of Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah has said that the meeting is showing no results on the ground.
In the all-party meeting of June 24, the Prime Minister’s statement of ‘Dil ki Doori’ and ‘Delhi ki Doori’ to win the hearts of the people of Jammu and Kashmir was welcome, but nothing was done on the ground to win the hearts.
Farooq said that we know that during this government the situation will not be restored before August 5, 2019, but we will continue to fight legally and democratically.
