After worsening the situation in Afghanistan, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has stopped the withdrawal of about $ 460 million to Afghanistan.

The IMF has taken this decision after the Taliban’s capture there. The IMF says that there is confusion in the country after the arrival of the Taliban.

This decision of the IMF has come to the fore after pressure from US President Joe Biden. Biden says that this amount should not go into the hands of the Taliban under any circumstances.

Earlier, US President Biden had also ordered the seizure of billions of dollars of the country deposited abroad.

Under this, the amount of about 70 thousand crore rupees ($ 9.4 billion) of the Afghanistan Central Bank was confiscated.

This was informed by Ajmal Ahmadi, Acting Governor of The Afghan Bank (DAB). Significantly, Ahmadis had left the country before the arrival of the Taliban.

It said that the Ministry of External Affairs and the White House had discussed this earlier. Its purpose was to put pressure on the Taliban by the Biden administration.

This decision of America can deepen the economic crisis not only in the Taliban but also in Afghanistan.
