Charges Framed Against Three Associates Of Jaish-e-Mohammed

Charges framed against three associates of Jaish-e-Mohammed, this case is of the year 2019: Jammu and Kashmir.

Two years ago, in the case of recovery of AK-47, AK-56, and heavy bullets in Lakhanpur, the special NIA court has illegally booked Jaish-e-Mohammed associates Sabeel Ahmed Baba, Ubaid-ul-Islam, and Jahangir Ahmed.

Charges have been framed for indulging in activities and under the Arms Act.

According to the case, on September 12, 2019, Lakhanpur Police received information that some associates of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed were bringing weapons for the purpose of carrying out illegal activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

Police got information that these people are coming from Punjab in a truck that will go to Kashmir via Lakhanpur.

On receiving the information, a special block was set up near Ravi bridge in Lakhanpur under the leadership of DSP operation and started checking the vehicles coming from Punjab.

It was stopped for which three people were aboard. When asked, the driver gave his name as Sabeel Ahmed Baba while two others in the truck were identified as Ubaid-ul-Islam and Jahangir Ahmed.

Cardboard boxes were loaded in the truck, but during the investigation, when the toolbox was opened, AK-56 and two AK-47 were recovered from it.

Apart from this, six loaded magazines were recovered from the toolbox. Each magazine contained thirty bullets. After the recovery, the police took the three into custody and confiscated the weapons.

On searching the accused, mobile phone, identity card, ATM card, cash of Rs 11 thousand and a paper were found in their possession in which some codes were written.

During interrogation, he told that these mobile phones were provided to him by the terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Bashir Ahmed, and Suhail Ahmed Dar, who were sitting in Pakistan.

During the investigation of the case, the accused also gave information about many terrorists operating in Kashmir.

After completing the investigation, the police presented the charge sheet of the case, on the basis of which the court has framed the charges against the three.
