Bhima Mandavi murder case, Chhattisgarh: NIA filed a charge sheet against 33 accused in the murder case. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against 33 people with multiple sections in connection with the murder of Chhattisgarh BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi in ​​2019.

The NIA has filed a charge sheet in the Bhima Mandavi murder case against 33 accused under various sections of IPC, UAPA, Arms Act, and Explosive Substances Act.

Of these accused, 6 have been arrested, while 22 are absconding and 5 have died. After filing the charge sheet by the NIA, it was said that our further investigation is on at the moment.

The main accused in the murder of BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi in ​​Dantewada, Chhattisgarh last month, was produced before the Special Court of NIA (Jagdalpur).

The arrested main accused Haripal Singh Chauhan was produced by the NIA before the special court in Jagdalpur, after which he was remanded on NIA remand for three days.

Three accused Laxman Jaiswal, Ramesh Kumar Kashyap, and Kumari Linga Tati were arrested in this case.

Investigation revealed that Laxman Jaiswal, who runs a grocery store in Nakulnar, had provided electrical wires, explosive material, and other paraphernalia for the IED blast carried out by CPI (Maoist) cadres.

At the same time, other accused Ramesh Kumar Kashyap and Kumari Linga Tati, ex-sarpanch of Kakri village are accused of planning the incident.

Explain that on 9 April 2019, BJP MLA Mandavi was assassinated. According to a press release, ‘IED was blasted on MLA’s car and indiscriminate firing on the vehicle by CPI (Maoist) cadres near Shyamgiri village in Dantewada district.

As a result, the then BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi of the district and four policemen of the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (CAF) were martyred. Apart from this, the weapons of the martyred police personnel were also looted by CPI (Maoist) cadres.

A confrontation between the Center and the state government over the investigation of the case was also revealed. While the state government had set up a local SIT team for this, on May 17, 2019, it was announced to conduct an NIA investigation by the Center.

After this, the state government reached the court against the NIA investigation. However, during this time, the court dismissed the SIT team of the state government.
