Awantipora encounter ended, security forces killed a terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammed, who had joined the terrorist organization 40 days ago: Jammu and Kashmir.

The encounter between security forces and terrorists has ended in Awantipora under Pulwama district of South Kashmir today i.e. on Monday morning.

A 40-day-old Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization has been killed in this encounter. He has been identified as Baragam, a resident of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization Sameer Ahmed Tantre.

He had joined the terrorist organization only on November 2. The terrorist killed was a category C terrorist.

Earlier in the morning i.e. on Sunday morning, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had received information about the hiding of terrorists in the Baragam area of ​​Awantipora.

Soon after, the police along with the security forces launched a search operation in the area. On Sunday morning, the terrorists hiding in Baragam started firing on the security forces.

The security forces first warned the terrorists to surrender. The terrorists ignored this and started firing on the security forces.

The security forces immediately took the front and opened fire against the terrorists. So far one terrorist has been successful in killing him.

Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar has also confirmed the death of one terrorist. The number of terrorists is being told around three.

At present, firing is going on from both sides. Security forces and police have cordoned off the entire area. People living nearby were appealed not to come out of the houses through loudspeakers.

Meanwhile, according to a police official, the terrorist killed in the Awantipora encounter has been identified as Sameer Ahmed Tantre resident of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization, Baragam.

He had joined the terrorist organization only on November 2. The terrorist killed was a category C terrorist. At present, the search operation is still going on by the police in the surrounding area.
