CBI Will Investigate Birbhum Violence And Arson Case
CBI will investigate Birbhum’s violence and arson case, a forensic team of the Central Bureau of Investigation reached Rampurhat.
The CBI will now investigate the Birbhum violence and arson case. This order has been given by the Kolkata High Court. After the violence there, 8 people, including 2 children, were burnt to death by fire.
The Calcutta High Court has finally handed over the investigation into the horrific violence following the murder of a local Trinamool Congress leader in Bogtoui village of Rampurhat police station area of Birbhum district on Monday evening.
It is known that the forensic team of the West Bengal Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reached Rampurhat.
It may be known that the Calcutta High Court has ordered a CBI inquiry in the Rampurhat violence case of Birbhum, whose report is to be given by April 7.
There is an allegation of burning ten people alive in this violence. However, the police have confirmed that eight people have been killed.
Trinamool Congress leader Anarul Hussain, the main accused in this heinous murder case, was arrested on Thursday following the instructions of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Taking suo motu cognizance of the matter, the High Court had summoned the case diary and status report of the case from the state government.
After receiving the report and diary on Thursday, a bench of High Court Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava had reserved the verdict. At 10.30 am on Friday, the High Court gave the verdict of the CBI investigation.
Along with this, the state government has also been directed to give full cooperation in the CBI investigation.
On the other hand, on the instructions of the High Court, the team of experts from Delhi Central Forensic Lab left for Rampurhat after reaching Kolkata.
On the other hand, following the instructions of Mamta, the police, which was active in the recovery of illegal weapons and bombs, have found 200 bombs during the raids in the Birbhum district.
On the other hand, an illegal gun factory has been found in Asansol, from where 12 semi-finished weapons have been found, three people have been arrested.
The High Court had taken suo motu cognizance of the matter.
Earlier, taking suo motu cognizance in this matter, the court had reserved its decision on Thursday after hearing the matter for two days.
On the Rampurhat violence, the state government on Thursday submitted the case diary along with the status report of the investigation on the directions of the High Court, after which the court has reserved its decision on it.

A division bench of Chief Justice Prakash Srivastava and Justice Rajarshi Bhardwaj had directed the state government to submit the status report of the investigation by 2 pm on Thursday.
On this day State Advocate General SN Mukherjee handed over the case diary to the court.
He also informed the division bench that 31 closed-circuit TV cameras have been installed there in the direction of the court.
Arrangements have also been made for the security of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) team that went to the spot.
The Advocate General opposed the CBI investigation and said that orders for CBI investigation are given in rare and exceptional cases.
For example, such cases, in which high officials of the state authority are involved or the accused himself is a high official of the investigating agency.
The Advocate General also told the court that the post-mortem of all the bodies except one has been videographed.
After going through the case diary, the High Court has reserved its decision on the matter.
Significantly, the Additional Solicitor General of the Central Government had told the court that the CBI was ready to investigate the matter. There has been a demand for it since the incident.
