Naga sannyasis are the conductors of Sanatani culture, know how to become a Naga; The process is very difficult.

Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2021: The biggest attraction in Kumbh is the Dushanami (Dasnami) Saints Arena. This denominational address has been given to him by Adi Shankara.

It also has a long story. In fact, after the establishment of Adi Shankaracharya, Jagannathpuri Govardhan Peeth in the east.

Dwarka-Sharda Peeth in the west, Jyotirmath in the north, and Sringeri Peeth in the south, he organized the Sadhu Samaj divided into various sects by giving ten names.

These ten names are Teerth, Ashram, Forest, Aranya, Giri, Parvat, Sagar, Saraswati, Bharti, and Puri. On the basis of these names, they were called Sanskrit saints. Over the years, Naga ascetics have emerged from among them.

The Naga sannyasis, who consider the sky as their clothes, rub the body, preferring to live in a Digambara form and have a mastery of martial arts.

If seen, the Nagas are the conductors of the Sanatani culture and live in various akharas, following the tradition established by Adi Shankaracharya.

In remote areas of pilgrimages including Haridwar, they live in strict discipline away from ordinary life. The prevailing legends about their anger keep the crowd away from them, whereas, in reality, it is not.

It is said that no matter how the world changes, but these devotees of Shiva and Agni will remain in this form. Now the question arises in the mind that how the Naga monks would tolerate the cold.

In fact, the Nagas do three types of yoga, which give them the power to deal with the cold. The Nagas are restrained both in their thoughts and in their food.

Grammarcharya Swami Divyeshwarananda says Naga is also a military cult. You can also call his group the Sanatani Military Regiment.

Many glorious wars are mentioned in history, in which thousands of Naga warriors took part. It is not that Naga monks are only men. Some women are also Naga monks and wear geruva clothes.

This is how Nagas are made.

The process of becoming a Naga monk is very difficult and long. The process of joining the Naga pantheon of new members takes about six years. During this time, they only have to live in a nappy.

After taking the final vow at the Kumbh Mela, they also abandon the nappies and then remain the Digambara. Before becoming a Naga, the Akhada thoroughly examines the member concerned.

On being satisfied, he is given entry into the arena. First, he has to remain in celibacy for a long time, and when he is made a great man and avadhoot respectively.

The final process takes place during the Kumbh. This includes his own pindadan, dandi rites, etc.

Monasteries are called monasteries.

When Adi Shankaracharya laid the foundation of the Dasnami Saints tradition, he also realized that in a period of social upheaval, these challenges cannot be met with spiritual power alone.

So, he advised the young sadhus to strengthen their bodies as well as acquire skills in wielding weapons.

For this, such monasteries were established, where the training of arms operations was also given along with exercise. Later, these monasteries were called akharas.
