CDS Rawat said – Indian Air Force will touch the highs, 83 Tejas Jet’s approval approved. The engine of Tejas has been developed in India. Let us know that the Cabinet Committee on Security Affairs has approved the purchase of 83 Tejas aircraft. CDS General Bipin Rawat said that our main thrust is to prepare indigenous weapons for use in future battles.

The CCM, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved the largest indigenous defense procurement deal for the Indian Air Force for 83 additional indigenous advanced Tejas jets worth about 48 thousand crores.

The deal will prove to be a game-changer for self-reliance in Indian defense manufacturing. Giving this information, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Ministry of Defense (Defense Ministry) has already approved the purchase of 40 Tejas jets.

That is, now the country will have a total of 123 advanced Tejas fighter aircraft. According to reports, in addition to these 123 Tejas jets, India is considering approving the purchase of 170 Tejas Mark-2, which will be made of powerful engines and advanced technology.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the target is to hand over all 83 aircraft to the Air Force by the year 2029. These 83 aircraft will create at least 6 squadrons of the Air Force. A squadron consists of 16-18 powerful fighter aircraft.

Talking about Tejas, it is the fourth generation indigenous tailless compound delta-wing aircraft. It is a fighter aircraft equipped with a ply-boy wire flight control system, integrated digital avionics, multimode radar, and its structure is made of composite material.
