Sources in the agency said that the Income Tax Department on Wednesday launched a search operation at around 400 places of various groups, including liquor traders, across the country.

The IT team reached the Embassy Group office at Bandra Kurla Complex on Wednesday morning. During this time no one was allowed to leave or enter the office.

Apart from this, raids were also conducted in the office of a businessman doing liquor business in Gurugram.

The Income Tax Department suspects that these businessmen may be involved in tax evasion.

Maharashtra: Case registered against three people including BJP leader Mohit Kamboj, alleging misappropriation of 52 crores

A case of cheating has been registered against BJP leader Mohit Kamboj in Maharashtra. The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police has taken this action against the BJP leader.

A case was registered against the BJP leader after the complaint of the manager of Indian Overseas Bank.

Alleged misappropriation of a loan of 52 crores.

Mohit Kamboj is accused of misappropriating a loan of 52 crores. The manager alleges that three directors of a company had taken a loan of 52 crores from the bank.

One of them is director Mohit Kamboj. The manager said that the money was used for some other purpose.

Case registered against all three directors.

After the complaint of the manager, the police registered a case against the three directors including Mohit Kamboj. Mumbai Police said that a case has been registered under sections 409 and 420 of IPC.
