Chandigarh University MMS scandal: Two wardens were suspended, and a five-member committee was constituted.
Chandigarh University has suspended two wardens on charges of negligence after the obscene video (Chandigarh University MMS Scandal Row) case.
The university administration has constituted a committee of five members, which will submit its report on all the developments to the university administration.
This committee will also listen to the problems of the students.
Meanwhile, the university administration has banned the entry of any outsider on the campus and the media is also not allowed to enter the campus.
During the protest that lasted till late at night, the students demanded that the hostel warden should be suspended. After which the university administration has taken this action.
It is being told that many wardens can also be shifted to departments for better management of hostels.
The girl students had also complained to the university administration about the hostel wardens and staff and said that they taunt the girls’ clothes.
On which the university administration had said that the administration would not have any objection to how the girl students dressed. They can dress up in the hostel as per the instructions of their parents.
Seeing the aggressiveness of the students during the demonstration, now the university administration is busy removing its shortcomings and is looking at the list of all the demands of the students.
After the end of the protest, the university administration issued a circular announcing the suspension of classes from 19 to 24 September.
During this, teaching and non-teaching staff have been asked to report to the office as usual. Students are returning to their homes amidst the bad atmosphere at Chandigarh University.
Some parents had arrived late on Sunday night to take their children home.

Students called off their agitation at 1.30 pm on Sunday for allegedly making videos of some girl students of Chandigarh University on Saturday afternoon.
After assuring the students of a fair investigation by the DIG and the administration, the students ended their protest and dharna. Meanwhile, the university administration has suspended classes for a week.
After the protest in the university, the parents of the students have also reached out to take their children back home.
