Dera Premis and Nihangs opened fire in Amritsar, Punjab, 8 injured; the situation was tense: Dera Premis and Nihangs Clash.

Dera Premi and Nihang (Tarna Dal) clashed badly on Sunday evening in a dispute over cows near Dera Beas.

It is alleged that Nihang had reached the empty grounds of Dera Premi with a large number of cows. Dera lovers alleged that Nihangs have reached their land armed with weapons.

Both sides have accused each other of firing bullets. On the other hand, as soon as they came to know about the incident, the police force from Beas, Jandiala, and Khalchiyan police stations reached the spot.

But before the arrival of the police officers, both sides fiercely attacked each other with bricks and stones, swords and sticks.

Police officials reached the spot and tried to convince both parties. Despite this, some mischievous elements started pelting stones.

Eight people, including a policeman, are reported to have been injured in this. The police somehow brought the situation under control and explained it to both sides.

It is learned that some members of the Tarna Dal, seeing the opportunity, took the cows towards the mand and sent them away.

Injured admitted to hospital.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Charanjit Singh said that some people have been injured in the said incident. Those who have been admitted to Baba Bakala and Civil Hospital in Amritsar.

The situation remains tense after the incident. It is worth mentioning that in the past also, there have been many confrontations between the two sides.
